Another local course, Dairy Creek, is just 10 miles away. Many other activities are close by: deep-sea fishing, Hearst Castle, wine tasting at some of the best wineries on the Central Coast, observing the elephant seals, monarch butterflies and blue herons, kayaking in the estuary, shopping on the Embarcadero, antiques, art galleries in Cambria and, of course, San Luis Obispo with its Farmer's Market and Mission are within a short and scenic drive.
